cervical cancer Does a women’s race affect?

What are the current statistics on the frequency of occurrence of cervical cancer? Does a women’s race affect her chances of developing this cancer? What is the standard test for detecting cervical cancer?

I don't have statistics, but newest research shows that a virus may increase the risk of cervical cancer. The more sexual partners a woman has, the greater the chance of acquiring the virus. There is a new vaccine which may help decrease the risk, but condoms and limiting the number of partners are still advised.. Regular pelvic exams and pap smears may help catch any changes early. Hope this helps.
