Bowel Constipation - How To Relieve Colon Constipation

There are also times when the colon constipation gets formed when the smooth movement within the colon gets obstructed by the presence of tumors. This damages the normal functioning of the colon, causing colon constipation.

Bowel constipation can be the resultant of inadequate fiber content in the diet, lack of physical activity, medications, ailments, irritable bowel syndrome, dehydration, abuse of laxatives, or change in the normal lifestyle on account of pregnancy, travel, etc.

Bowel Obstruction?

My dog will be coming home this afternoon following surgery for a bowel obstruction yesterday. What can I expect as far as post-operative care?

after any surgery you should keep the dog in a crate and well-supervised to minimize activity to prevent accidental injury of the site. the dog will surely be sore and will probably have some improvement in demeanor within about 2 days, though it can take weeks to heal. just be sure to follow your vet's instructions to the letter. don't let the dog out or let it jump on furniture because you feel bad that it's cooped up in a cage or small room. the dog needs down time to heal and rest and get better. abdominal surgery is a major deal.
