help! do you think i have cancer?
Hello. Since mid-December, I have been having swollen lymph nodes in neck and under armpit. I can move these nodes from side to side. I have a swollen spleen. I have no other symptoms. I had fatigue in the first 2 months of this ordeal, but it now has gone away considerably. I have been to several doctors and had a CBC, differential, ESR, metabolic lipid, thyroid, lyme, EBV and monospot done, that was normal, except I am positive for Epstein Barr Virus. I have depression. I have never had unprotected sex. What is causing my nodes to swell? This is really starting to piss me off as all 4 doctors I have seen must be f'ing clueless! Thank you.

It sounds like you probably googled your symptoms and are making your self crazy with the result. Epstein-Barr virus does have a coorelation to some types of cancer (Hodgkins Lymphoma) but the fact that your nodes are movable, your ESR was normal and you have no other lymphoma related symptoms, I would rule out cancer. I would venture to say that the doctors are not clueless, just not concerned with your condition (ie; its not cancer).
