what are the symptoms of throat cancer and the risks?

My husband was just diagnosed last week with cancer of the throat and tonsils. He had a sore throat for a month and one of his tonsils was huge. He also had a lymph node on the opposite side that grew rapidly. One look from the ear, nose and throat dr and he knew it was cancer. He took a biopsy and ordered a CT scan and confirmed it. We're in for a long, hard road to recovery but they all say it's treatable and we're going to start treatment soon. You should get to a dr.
