What factors place a person at a high risk for developing colon cancer?(need answers please!!)?
My mom and her friend have told me that I'm putting myself at a higher risk for getting colon cancer when I'm older because I don't eat very healthily.My mom gets really mad because I rarely drink water and I don't eat many fruits or vegetables.I just don't like how water doesn't have a taste,and I would much rather drink milk or soda.I also eat fast food 1-2 times a week.I've been constipated off and on for a while now,and when I do go,there's been blood every time for the past 2-3 weeks.It also hurts a lot to go most of the time,and I still feel bloated even after I go.So my question is,does it sound like I'm at risk for developing colon cancer when I'm older,or were they just saying that to scare me into eating healthier?And what are some of the symptoms of colon cancer?Thank you for your opinions!!
well you are what you eat, overused but true. and not drinking water is like not sleeping, you simply need it. you'll probably like water once you mature a little bit though. more water helps with "cleaning" you out and will help with the constipation and bleeding.
